Guthrie High School will host commencement exercises for the Class of 2021 at Jelsma Stadium on Friday, May 21 beginning at 7:30 p.m. with limited seating.
The event will also be streamed live on Guthrie News Page.
Gates to the stadium will open at 6:30 p.m. and will be limited to 50% capacity due to COVID conditions. Each senior will receive ten tickets for admission to the event.
“The Class of 2021 has been through an incredibly challenging time and we look forward to celebrating this event with them,” Superintendent Dr. Mike Simpson said.
The wearing of masks will be strongly suggested but not required.
Simpson added he had consulted with other school districts of similar size in making the decisions.
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be moved to Saturday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the stadium.
