Guthrie Fire Department made quick work on a grass fire along I-35 on Monday afternoon.
Crews responded to the area of mile marker 164 just after 2 p.m. and was able to extinguish the fire shortly after arriving.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol was called to the scene for traffic control with the smoke blowing across the interstate.
Fire Chief Eric Harlow said two-acres were involved and the start of the fire was caused by farmers cutting hay.
