A Guthrie home, that was under going remodeling, quickly went up in flames early Thursday morning.
The Guthrie Fire Department was dispatched at about 5:45 a.m. to the 2600 block of West Oklahoma Ave. Upon their arrival, the single-story home was fully engulfed with flames. Crews immediately went defensive with the fire.
The home was vacant at the time of the fire.
Flames could be seen shooting several feet into the sky as firefighters worked the south, east and west sides of the home before attacking the roof once it caved in.
Firefighters had taken down the fire in less than 30 minutes and was on scene until after 7 a.m. putting out hot spots.
The blaze started in the northeast corner, but it is unknown on how it started.
