Guthrie Lions Club honors Students of the Month

Lions Club President John Wood introduced the Students of the Month from Guthrie High School stating, ”Kacie Carroll and Beau Davis were selected from among many outstanding senior class students. We are pleased to recognize them and their accomplishments and congratulate them on what we are certain will be successful careers in their chosen fields of college studies.”

Guthrie Noon Lions Club Honor Students: Lions President, John Wood (L) recognizes “Students of the Month” Kacie Carroll and Beau Davis and thank Guthrie High School faculty Annie Chadd (R).

Carroll is the daughter of Kristie Kellogg and Howard Carroll, carries a 4.0 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society and attended the American Legion’s “Girls State” program in the spring. She is an active member of the Family Careers and Community Leaders Association (FCCLA) and has been an outstanding member of the Lady Jays softball team for four years being selected to the “All District” team as an outfielder this season. She is planning on attending UCO with a focus on Business Administration.

Davis is the son of Gina and Kenny Davis and is also a 4.0 GPA student. He plays football and baseball on the Guthrie High School teams. He attended “Boys State” in June and if very involved with the local FFA program. He has shown his sheep at state, regional and national competitions. He is planning on attending OSU in the school of Engineering next fall.
