Updated on Saturday, June 20 — Guthrie Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing that left two men injured late Friday night on the city’s west side.
Police arrested 39-year-old Ricky Marchant of Guthrie early Saturday afternoon. He was booked on a complaint of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon with intent to cause harm. Formal charges are expected to be filed as early as Tuesday in Logan County District Court.

According to investigators, the incident began with an altercation at the Blowout Club in downtown Guthrie.
Police say Marchant later located the two men at a residence near 14th Street and Washington Avenue, where he allegedly attacked both victims with a knife before leaving the scene.
Officers were dispatched to the residence just before midnight after receiving a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, they found two men suffering from stab wounds.
One victim was transported to Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City in stable condition. The second victim was taken to OU Medical Center, where he underwent surgery for injuries to his abdomen.
Police spent the overnight hours developing leads and identifying the suspect before making the arrest Saturday afternoon.

One victim was transported to Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City in stable condition. A second victim was transported to OU Medical Center in critical condition.
Officers spent the early morning hours pursuing multiple leads in an effort to identify and locate the suspect. Shortly after 1 a.m., one individual was brought in for questioning.
As of 2 a.m., no arrests had been made.
