Mckay sisters earn top honors at Maine, Chianina Junior Nationals

Mulhall-Orlando FFA members Berkley and Kamdyn Mckay recently represented the Mulhall-Orlando FFA Chapter with great success at the Maine and Chi Junior Nationals, earning numerous championships and recognition in both the show ring and judging arena.

Berkley Mckay had an exceptional week, capturing several prestigious titles. Her accomplishments included Grand Champion Maine Prospect Steer, Grand Champion Bred and Owned Chi Steer, and Grand Champion Maine Bred and Owned Prospect Steer. She also exhibited both the Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion High Maine Bred and Owned Heifers.

Additional honors for Berkley included Reserve Grand Champion High Maine Heifer, Reserve Grand Champion Chi-Composite Heifer, and 3rd Overall Bred and Owned Chi-Composite Heifer. Beyond her success with livestock, Berkley also demonstrated her knowledge and evaluation skills by placing 9th Overall Intermediate Judger in the national judging competition.

Kamdyn Mckay also found success at the national event, earning Reserve Champion Maine Bred and Owned Prospect Steer and Reserve Champion Bred and Owned Chi Steer honors.

The accomplishments of Berkley and Kamdyn reflect the dedication, hard work, and commitment they have invested in their livestock projects throughout the year.
