Guthrie had their annual Christmas parade on Saturday evening.
Following the parade, the Guthrie Upper Elementary School Honor Choir sung a few Christmas carols like, Joy to the World, Silent Night and Jingle Bells – encouraging the town of Guthrie to sing along.
The locals gathered for a few words from the Mayor, Chuck Burtcher. “What a wonderful night in the hometown of the class 5A state champions. I welcome all of you to the opening ceremonies.”
The 2012 Territorial Governor candidates were announced, Clarence Taren and Steve Bowers. The new Territorial Governor is Steve Bowers.
