Guthrie Public Schools, John Vance Auto Group and Buick are teaming up for an opportunity to raise up to $10,000 for local students. A simple test drive, without the pressure of buying a vehicle, will earn income for teachers and students.

Buick Test DriveThe John Vance Auto Group is sponsoring the Buick “Drive For Your Students” – a test-drive initiative. The event is set for Saturday, April 11 at the Guthrie High School parking lot from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“This program further demonstrates Buick’s commitment to community and education, as well as the local investment that dealers are making in their home towns,” said Molly Peck, director of Marketing for Buick.

100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Guthrie Educational Foundation, who annually rewards teachers with grants.

Buick donates $10 for the first 100 test drives and $20 afterwards.

Drivers will be asked 10 questions before taking one of the six to eight Buicks out on the road. Afterwards, another five questions will be asked following the test drive.

Each driver must be at 21 years of age and no more than two drivers per household.
