On Wednesday, Logan County OSU Extension and the Logan County Health Department hosted Langston 4-H youth as a part of the Healthy Living Program (HLP).
Educational lessons and activities were held in the Education Building on the Logan County Fairgrounds. Following the theme of the Langston 4-H SET (Science, Engineering, Technology) “R2K16” summer camp, Nikkiey Morton (HLP), Cynthia Klumpp (OSU Extension FCS, 4-H Educator) and Jessica Moore (OSU Extension Intern) presented topics addressing healthy and affordable breakfast food options, nutritional education, cooking techniques, simple motor construction and the importance of exercise.
Fifteen 4-H youth and two adult leaders, Sheila Stevenson (Extension Specialist II 4-H, Langston University) and Veniqua Lewis Hubbard (Summer Camp Helper), participated in this Healthy Living Expo furthering knowledge and skills in areas of nutrition and SET.
