Over the past two months, Deputy Don Hudgins has been diligently working to locate, investigate and clean up several illegal dumping sites around the county. Just recently, Hudgins’ crew cleaned a large dump site in the county.

Hudgins says each county commissioner has a dumpster at their county barns and citizens can dump free of charge, excluding hazardous materials and chemicals.

Logan County District 1 (405-282-3581) is located at  2315 S.W. 19th Street in Guthrie, District 2 (405-282-3405) is located at 1550 N. Midwest Blvd. in Guthrie and District 3 (405-969-3388) is located two miles north of Crescent and three-quarters of a mile west.

And for those who are found illegally dumping?

“If I catch you dumping on the side of the road there will be a fine and possible jail time,” Hudgins said in the video below.

“Please do the right thing.”
