Logan County Treasurer’s Office sends out 2024 tax statements

As tax season begins, the Logan County Treasurer’s Office has started mailing out tax statements for the 2024 tax year, with statements also accessible on their website at Loganct.org.

These statements cover only the 2024 taxes; those with outstanding past-due taxes are encouraged to contact the Treasurer’s Office for the current amount owed.

Residents who have not received their tax statements by December 1, 2024, or those who opted for email delivery and have not received them by this date, should contact the Treasurer’s Office directly.

If your mortgage company requests the statement on your behalf, you will not receive a separate copy. Homeowners with escrow accounts who received a statement should forward it to their mortgage company rather than making a direct payment.

All tax payments, whether full or half, are due by December 31, 2024, and must be received or postmarked by this date. After December 31, half payments will no longer be accepted, and a penalty will apply starting January 16, 2025.

For convenience, payments can be made by debit or credit card, either in-office or online. However, a third-party processor applies a 2.95% convenience fee, which goes directly to the processor and not the Treasurer’s Office.

Treasurer Sherri Longnecker reminds residents that it is their responsibility to ensure a tax statement has been received for each property owned and to update the office with any address changes.

Residents who recently purchased or sold property after October 1, 2024, should contact the Treasurer’s Office for guidance on how to handle their statement or forward it to the new owner if necessary. To obtain a paid receipt, residents may mail in a stamped, self-addressed envelope, and a convenient drop box is available in front of the courthouse for tax document submissions.
