Man suffers burns in mobile home fire

One person was rushed to an Oklahoma City hospital with burns to his body following a mobile home fire on Tuesday evening.

Fire departments from Sooner, Woodcrest and Coyle responded to a mobile home fire at 2800 Thornbrush Trail, which is located near the intersection of Midwest Blvd. and Camp Road.

Firefighters are uncertain what caused the home to go up in flames, but said they found a pan of food on the stove.

An adult male was inside the home at the time of the fire and suffered second to third degree burns to his head and hands.

The man was able to walk to a neighbor’s home to call 911 and was rushed to the hospital by Guthrie EMS.

The home was a total loss, but fire crews were able to salvage some personal belongings, including clothes and photo albums.
