Meshew named Jim Thorpe High School Girls Golf Player of the Year

Guthrie’s Sue Marie Meshew has been selected as this year’s Jim Thorpe High School Player of the Year in Girls Golf by the Oklahoma Coaches Association in partnership with the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame.

Meshew, the daughter of Ric and Gayla Meshew, will be honored and for accomplishment recognized with a commemorative plaque presented at the 38th Annual All-Sports and Scholar Athlete Awards Luncheon to be held on Wednesday, June 8 Oklahoma City.

Meshew, who graduated with academic honors, helped lead the Lady Jays golf team to a seventh-place finish at this year’s state tournament.

During Meshew’s career, the Lady Jays qualified for the state golf tournament each season.
