New art exhibit opens June 3 at Oklahoma Territorial Museum

A new exhibit opens on Tuesday, June 3, at the Oklahoma Territorial Museum and Carnegie Library in Guthrie. “Artfully Local: Creations by Dr. Bob Palmer and Holly McHughes” will highlight the works of artists Dr. Bob Palmer and Holly McHughes.

Palmer is a widely renowned mural artist with more than 3,800 murals to date. He describes his work as an “incarnation of contemplation and wonder.” McHughes is a local artist who specializes in several mediums. Her pieces for the new exhibit are acrylic on canvas and take inspiration from the historic Carnegie Library.

The works by Palmer and McHughes will be on display through Friday, September 5.
