NorthCare – United Way of Logan County’s Newest Partner Agency

The most recent addition to the United Way of Logan County’s 10 partner agencies is NorthCare, which became a partner agency this past July. NorthCare is a certified Community Mental Health Center by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and is responsible for serving the behavioral health needs of Oklahoma and Logan counties. The agency has a 34-year history as a community safety net provider serving adults, children and families impacted by mental illness, addiction disorders and severe trauma.

LaCinda Daugherty, Manager of the Logan County NorthCare branch, explains the importance of United Way funding to their operations. “The United Way funding is utilized to provide comprehensive treatment for individuals who have economic challenges and are without insurance. Our hope is to further expand services in Logan County communities through continued partnership with the United Way.  We are committed community partners invested in the long term health and well-being of Logan County residents.”

NorthCare of Logan County opened in June 2012 and is located at 2403 S. Division, Suite C, Guthrie, OK 73044. Their goal is to improve the psychological and emotional well-being of children, adults and families while focusing on recovery, wellness, and individualized care. NorthCare provides a comprehensive array of outpatient services utilizing multi-disciplinary teams and emphasizing a treatment team approach for each person. Their staff includes Behavioral Health Therapists, Care Coordinators, Peer Specialists and a Psychiatrist.  Individuals can walk-in without a scheduled appointment during business hours of Monday-Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. Crisis services are also available after business hours by calling 405-260-3441.
