Overturned vehicle found down embankment

A property owner spotted a pickup truck turned over on its top in an embankment down a washed out road in rural Logan County Friday afternoon.

The property owner made the call to emergency crews just after 4:30 p.m. to the west of the intersection of Industrial and Santa Fe roads on Industrial.

Crews found a blue 1999 Toyota Tacoma on its top, on top of dirt and with the smell of gasoline in the air.

After a thorough search by Guthrie EMS and a Logan County deputy there were no victims found.

It is unknown how long the vehicle had been there. The property owner says it had been 7-10 days since he had walked down to the area.

Industrial Road is passable for a quarter of a mile before being blocked off due to the narrow road being almost completely washed out.

The owner of the vehicle was contacted and stated they knew about the vehicle being in an accident. It was uncertain, at the scene, why the accident was not reported.
