The City of Guthrie continues to receive good news when it comes to sales tax numbers.
The City received the sales tax numbers this week and continue to stay in line with where they need to be regarding budgeted revenues according to City Manager Matt Mueller.
“Our sales tax deposit this month was $327,507 compared to the $ $299,022 that was deposited this time last year,” Mueller said. “This is a 9.53% increase compared to the previous year’s comparison and a 3.23% increase from the $317,273 deposited this time in 09-10.
The monthly average collected in the fiscal year 09-10 2009 was $322,172, in fiscal year 10-11 it was $300,932, and the final monthly average for the fiscal year 11-12 is $314,339.
“We had to maintain an average of $300,000 per month to meet budget projections,” Mueller concluded.
