The first day of school is generally “interesting” as parents drive their children to school. Motorists may want to plan their schedule around the annual Senior Drive to school on Friday morning.
The 2018 Senior Class plans to meet at the Masonic Temple at 6:45 a.m. and depart at 7:20 a.m.
The escort will move from the Temple down to Oklahoma Ave to Wentz St. and finally into the high school.
Traffic will be blocked at certain intersections by the Guthrie Police Department to allow the drive to go through.
Sgt. Anthony Gibbs reminds all students in the drive that they must obey all traffic laws, including street lights, during the Senior Drive.
