The Guthrie Lady Jays jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first 11:50 in their Senior Night game with the Chickasha Lady Chicks and kept their distance for their second straight win.
Guthrie improved to 11-9 with a 36-16 win while Chickasha falls to 4-16. Chickasha was unable to find the scoreboard until the midway point of the second quarter. The Lady Chicks missed their first 17 shots.
The Lady Jays out scored the Chicks in each quarter. However, Chickasha was able to pull within 8-points in the third quarter, but Guthrie finished the quarter with a 10-1 run over the last five minutes.
The win gives the Lady Jays the season sweep with the prior win coming in the Consolation game of the Chickasha Tournament in early January.
