Softball, baseball sign-ups for Guthrie little league now underway

Spring is around the corner and so is softball and baseball for Guthrie little leagues. Both organizations are now holding sign-ups.

For softball, registration is open online until March 1.

League officials will be doing in person signups this Saturday (February 24) from 1 -3 p.m. and again on Thursday, March 1 at 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Taco Mayo.

Ages for the softball leagues is three to 14 years of age.

Registration fees are $55 for Wee Ball, which is co-ed and for ages 3-4, and Tee-Ball (ages 5-6). For 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U leagues the price is $65.

There is a $10 sibling discount.

For baseball, sign-ups will continue until March 17.

The entry fee to play this season is $65, but late sign-ups are $90 and subject to team availability.

Player must be between the ages of 5 and 12 years old as of May 1, 2018. All players, regardless if they have played previous seasons, will be required to submit a copy of birth certificates.

Online signups, along with payment and submission of birth certificates, are available at www.GuthrieLittleLeague.com.

Entry forms can be downloaded and mailed to Guthrie Little League Baseball at PO Box 1273.

League officials will be at the Territorial Capital Sports Museum, located at 315 W. Oklahoma, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 24 and March 3.

Any individual interested in being a head coach or assistant coach can fill out an online application. Background checks will be performed.
