Store clerk held up at gunpoint; two males get away with cash, lottery tickets

Guthrie police officers rushed to a Guthrie convenience store late Wednesday evening following an armed robbery. The store’s clerk was held at gunpoint.

Officers responded to Minimart No. 2, located at the intersection of Sooner Rd and Division St., at 10:42 p.m. The clerk advised he had been robbed by two Hispanic males, who were seen wearing bandanna’s over their face and baseball caps.

Logan County deputies, including two K9 officers, were called in for assistance after the clerk saw the men take off on foot. However, the search came up empty.

Store video surveillance shows the two men walked into the store and pointed a shotgun at the clerk demanding money. The suspects were able to get away with a large sum of money and lottery tickets.

The Hispanic male suspects are described as being in their late 20’s to early 30s, 5’5” to 5’8” tall and of average build, with tattoos on their forearms or hands.

If you have information about the suspects, you are urged to call the Guthrie Police Department at (405) 282-3535.
