Teen rolls vehicle; speeding may have been cause

Update Monday, June 18 – The cause of the accident was determined that the driver was operating at a speed inproper and was issued a ticket by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Just before midnight Thursday evening, a teenager lost control of her vehicle causing it to flip and land on its side.

A 17-year-old female was transported to OU Medical Center with head and shoulder injuries in a one vehicle accident. According to Logan County Deputies on the scene, the female lost conscious once she crawled out of the vehicle.

The driver, who was traveling east to her home, lost control of her Isuzu SUV on Triplett Road, a dirt road, just east of Pine Street.

It is believed the teen driver may have been speeding.

Logan County Sheriff’s office, Guthrie Police, Guthrie Fire Department, Sooner Fire Department and Oklahoma Highway Patrol were dispatched to the scene.
