Temporary closing of Forrest Hills

Bookmark and Share

This update is to notify those who live in the area of Forrest Hills (No Name) between Pine and Midwest, that it will be closed to through traffic, Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 24 & 25) 8:30 a.m.—4:00 p.m.

Logan County Commissioner Mike Pearson

Our plans for these two days are to grind up the chip seal on this one mile of roadway, which is part of the 5-mile repaving project that also includes the 4 miles of Midwest from Waterloo to Forrest Hills. After Forrest Hills is ground up we will be hauling in shale to stabilize the road base in preparation for a 2 ½” laydown of asphalt.

Also, as a part of this 5-mile repaving project, we have contracted with Action Safety Supply Company to do the pavement striping on Midwest from Waterloo to Charter Oak. We are hoping this will take place in the very near future.

  1. 2 1/2 inches of asphalt? really? that won’t last long…but it makes you look good…..what a joke…that’s why a telephone man should not be working on roads. He is only a politician….and we know how they are…between him and sharpton and Murphy…
