Guthrie’s Territorial Riders continue to leave an impact on both students and their community and that continued with their latest donation to Guthrie’s Special Olympics.
The group got on their bikes for a drive up to Guthrie Upper Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon and donated $1200 to Laura Benham and the Special Olympics after raising funds in their 11th annual Poker Run held earlier this month.
“This is the most we have been able to donate and we are certainly glad to do it,” Lorry Anderson said.
The Territorial Riders raise money for various projects throughout the year, including Shop With A Cop that helps children in the area to have a better Christmas.
The Special Olympian’s are now preparing for their big event in May with the Special Olympic Games. The athletes will be given a going away assembly before getting an escort to the games on May 8.
