Man suffers gun shot wound in Langston shooting

One person was airlifted to a hospital with a gun shot wound following a shooting in Langston late Saturday night.

Just after 11:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to The Langston Center (TLC), located at 202 Sammy Davis Jr. Drive, after a male was shot in the chest.

Details of the shooting were not immediately made available at the scene and messages have gone unanswered.

On the The Langston Center’s website, a “private college party” was listed on their calendar of events from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

On Guthrie News Page’s Youtube page, Langston University responded by saying, “This event had absolutely nothing to do with Langston Homecoming, was not a University sanctioned event, did not involve an LU student and did not happen on the Langston University campus.”

Guthrie News Page will pass along any new information as it becomes available.
