Video: Vehicle drives into bridge, nearly falling onto I-35; vehicles damaged

Multiple vehicles were damaged Thursday evening after a vehicle crashed into an overpass bridge sending chunks of concrete falling to the interstate.

Just after 8 p.m., the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Guthrie Fire Department responded to the incident at Interstate 35 and Browne Ave.

Crews found a vehicle which had crashed through the concrete, hanging off the bridge resulting in concrete falling several feet onto the southbound lanes of Interstate 35.

Luckily, the chunks of concrete hit the roadway and not any of the moving vehicles. However, multiple vehicles struck the debris on the highway causing damage. It was unknown at the scene exactly how many vehicles (three minimum) sustained damage.

The driver of the vehicle, that ran into the bridge, was not immediately found at the scene.

The case continues to be investigated by OHP.
