A stretch of Triplett Road between Division Street and Pine Street has been closed after a washout damaged the roadway.
On Wednesday, Logan County District 3 road crews were seen removing sections of the compromised road and a broken tin horn to allow standing water to drain properly from one side of the road to the other.
A new tin horn is expected to arrive as early as Friday. Once delivered, crews will begin installation and then proceed with repairing the road.
Officials anticipate the closure will remain in place into next week. Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes and avoid the area until repairs are completed.
