It was expected and it happen.
The Guthrie Lady Jays basketball team were heavy favorites going into their second round game with John Marshall, in the Chickasha Basketball Classic, and they made sure there was no drama after the first eight minutes of the game.
John Marshall, who will be searching for their first win of the season tomorrow against Moore, could manage just a single point in the opening quarter as Guthrie moved on for the easy 59-17 win.
Gracynn Smith recorded a game high 17 points and 12 rebounds while fellow post Allyson Chadd just missed out on a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Guthrie will move on to the Consolation game and will face tournament host Chickasha with a 1:00 tip.
