Talk about it in Hurricane Alley
Three-star linebacker Kentrell Brothers from Guthrie, Oklahoma, has 14 scholarship offers and is in the process of visiting schools in an effort to eventually narrow down his list. He recently made the short drive to Tulsa to check out the Golden Hurricane, and he gave his thoughts on the trip.
“It was good,” said Brothers. “They won the game, and the coaches are awesome.”
After witnessing Tulsa’s 41-14 demolition of Central Arkansas, Brothers took a look around the TU campus.
“The facilities were great,” he explained. “The apartments were nice. The locker room was nice, and the Case Complex was really nice.”
Brothers’ trip to Tulsa was an unofficial visit, as he plans to use his official visits to check out programs that are far away from home. He has already been on a west-coast swing to see Arizona State and Washington.
“Since the visits, I’ve just wanted to consider everyone,” he recently told PowerMizzou.com. “Every school, I want to see what they have to offer.”
Brothers will head to Missouri this weekend to watch the Tigers play Colorado. He is currently setting up other future trips and taking things slow.
“There’s no timetable,” he described. “Whenever I feel it, feel comfortable with a school, I’ll commit.”
The 6-foot-, 210-pounder is playing on both sides of the ball for Guthrie, but is being recruited mainly at outside linebacker. He had six sacks in his first three games and has helped the Bluejays to a 4-1 record.
