Have you ever wanted to be “A Star”?  Well, now is your chance!  The Okie Noodling Invitational Championship and documentary films will be taping 10 episodes at our own ROCK-A-WAY TAVERN!!!  The episodes will be filmed starting at 4:00 every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday in July one Sunday (29th), beginning this Tuesday!!!  The episodes will be used for the 2nd season of the series MUDCATS!!  The events will be family friendly, so the Rock-A-Way wants to encourage everyone to come on out for each taping so that Guthrie will be well represented on the program.  There will be live music, food, and lots of fun, as each competitor brings in their catch for the weigh-in!  So bring your noodle out and have a blast with them!

I heard back from a few curious people wanting information about Harrison’s Chicken House.  Robert and Laura Hyatt are the proprietors; they are located at 204 E. Oklahoma.  They have a few kitchen details to work out but expect to be open the 16th of July. Their hours will be Monday through Saturday from 10:30a.m. to 8:30p.m. and later if needed.  Closed on Sunday.   They have scheduled their ribbon cutting for the 25th of this month along with our weekly coffee.

One of our sponsors is celebrating their Birthday this month!  July 22nd from 2p.m. to 8p.m. Cimarron Casino will have free birthday cake; the first 300 guests will earn points on their Player’s Club card will receive a commemorative cup. Then from 4pm – 8pm they will have drawings every hour for various amounts of CASH! While supplies last.

We have eleven days before our very first Triathlon. We are excited about our great sponsors and would like to thank them in advance for their help. You can support your local farmers every week at the Guthrie Farmer’s Market.
