A Guthrie High School graduate has officially become one of the Army’s newest officers.
Jonathan Clutter, a 2022 graduate of Guthrie High School, was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army and earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Oklahoma State University.
Clutter served as the JROTC Battalion Commander during his senior year at Guthrie High School. During the commissioning ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Brede had the honor of pinning Clutter’s bars as a newly commissioned armor officer.
Second Lieutenant Clutter will depart later this month for Fort Knox to assist with summer training through the United States Army Cadet Command.
In August, he will continue his military training at Fort Benning, Georgia, where he will train as an armor officer and tank platoon leader.
