Junior High Tennis brings home tournament win

The Guthrie Junior High girls tennis brought home the championship trophy from the Carl Albert doubles tournament on Tuesday, March 22nd.

Jillian Chappell and Kamber Smedley took first in No. 2 doubles, Ryan Robbins and Kayleigh Hopfer took third in No. 3 doubles, and Kassidy Coffman and Trista LeGrande took top honors in No. 4 doubles.

 Brayden Berryman and Andy Hartley won second at the No. 1 doubles position after losing a heartbreaker 8-7 to Westmoore.

Victoria Sarasua, Kaitlyn Walls, Kacie Carey, Madison Mize, Molly Swartzbaugh, Tyren Veasley, Jacob Ventris, Hunter Moore, and Jaden Weatherford contributed in the team win.

The team is coached by Shelley Berryman and Jason Rice and were “extremely proud of their team’s success.”
