A Langston police officer was accidentally pepper sprayed when a campus officer sprayed him as he was in a scuffle with a man following an argument.

Law enforcement from Langston, Logan County Sheriff’s Office, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Coyle responded to a campus apartment complex where a couple was arguing.

When the altercation had started, officials believed it was a large group, but turned out to be students, who were having an outdoor picnic, who had came over to see the scuffle between the officer and man.

Guthrie EMS were called to the scene and flushed the pepper spray from the eyes of the officer. The officer also believed he was kicked in the head while down.

Officials are trying to find the man who was in the scuffle and fled.

No arrests were made.
