Logan County hosts Oklahoma 63rd Civil Support Team for emergency training

The Logan County Emergency Management Office recently hosted specialized training exercises involving the Oklahoma 63rd Civil Support Team.

Training sessions were conducted on Tuesday and Thursday as part of the team’s preparation for an upcoming certification later this year. The exercises also focused on improving coordination between local emergency responders, hospitals, and health services during large-scale emergencies.

Residents may have noticed the Civil Support Team’s vehicles throughout the area during the week. Officials said the unit was in Logan County to provide training, support, and knowledge-sharing opportunities for local emergency personnel.

Emergency management officials noted that smaller teams from the unit had trained in the area before, but this marked the first time the entire Oklahoma 63rd Civil Support Team had operated in Logan County.

Officials say the partnership strengthens communication and coordination among agencies, adding another layer of emergency response capabilities and services for Logan County residents.
