Updated on Oct. 7, 2021 — Woman identified in home invasion shooting; investigation ongoing
One person is dead following a reported home invasion. The shooting took place just outside of the city limits.
Emergency crews responded to a home on Backhaus Road – half-mile south of Industrial Road – after a person called 911 stating someone had broken into their home.
The homeowner says three people broke into the house and that they shot one of the three.
One person was found deceased inside the home by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Undersheriff Troy Dykes tells Guthrie News Page the other two possible intruders are still at large.
The scene just before 9 a.m. remained active with investigators, including the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations (OSBI).
OSBI will provide more updates as soon as the scene has been fully examined.
The identity of the body has not been made at the current time.
