The Territorial Christmas Committee and God’s Food Bank got a boost this holiday season following a Tree and Wreath auction held Saturday evening inside the Carnegie Library.

It was an event that had gone away for some years, but Guthrie business owner James Long and the Christmas committee helped bring the event back.

Churches, businesses and individuals created trees and wreaths and donated them to the committee to be auctioned off to help raise money for the Territorial Christmas celebration.

For over sixteen years, historic Guthrie has transformed itself into a turn-of-the-century community during its annual Territorial Christmas Celebration. Guthrie, once again, will present some of Oklahoma’s most unique and memorable holiday events.

The tree and wreath auction brought in over $2,000 in donations.
