The Fourth of July celebration in downtown Guthrie may be forever changed following a huge night of fireworks, music, food and games.
Red Brick Nights held their monthly outdoor concert with several bands taking stage at the intersection of Wentz St. and Oklahoma Ave. Surrounding the stage were food trucks, vendors and games for all ages.
Just up the road, at 1st Street and Harrison Ave., a second outdoor concert had folks dancing in the street.
Perhaps, the 43-minute firework display in the middle of downtown stole the show.

Local fireworks retailer Fireworkz A’ Poppin, operated by Calvin and Lisa Hoover, showed off their arsenal from the playing grounds of Jelsma Stadium.
Concert goers had prime seats, but nearby residents took to their front yards to take the show in while others simply grabbed their chairs and surrounded the stadium.
Calvin Hoover says he hopes this is a new trend for Guthrie. Turns out, he’s not the only one. Several took to social media boasting about the show.
“Best firework show ever! My whole family was in awe!” Tia Yancey said.
“This was by far the BEST fireworks display I have ever seen. This is coming from an East Coast girl too. Great job Guthrie,” Lisa Felician-Kirk said.
The grand finale of the show lasted two minutes and 17 seconds.
Parking spots were hard to come by, which is always a good sign, as an easy estimate of 5,000 people packed the downtown area.
It was a fun night for all and may be a sign to come with the celebration of Independence Day.
