Woman in serious condition following uncommon vehicle accident

A Crescent woman was admitted into a Oklahoma City hospital in serious condition following a traffic accident where she was pushing another vehicle with her own vehicle.

Several agencies responded to State Highway 74 and County Road 71 — two miles north of Crescent — just before midnight on Thursday for an injury accident.

According to a crash report by the Department of Safety, a 2017 Nissan Versa was inoperable after running out of gas.

In attempt to move the vehicle, 69-year-old Debra Eck, of Crescent, began to push the Nissan Versa on SH-74 with her 2002 Ford Taurus.

With speeds reaching 50 mph in the southbound lane, the driver lost control, entered the northbound lane and collided head on with a 2002 F-150 truck driven by 54-year-old Martha Moore of Lamont, Okla.

Eck, who was admitted in serious condition at OU Medical Center with internal and external injuries, was pinned for 15 minutes before being extricated by the Crescent Fire Department.

Moore was treated and released at the scene.
