Attorney arrested, again, early Monday morning

A Nichols Hill attorney, who has found herself in trouble on multiple occasions in the last several months, was again arrested early Monday morning at a Guthrie convenient store.

Amy McTeer was arrested outside of Love’s, located 2530 E Noble Ave. near I-35, on a public intoxication complaint and was later found with a pipe containing “white residue” in her pocket, according to Logan County officials.

She was booked into the Guthrie city jail with bail was set at $2,000 and will be arraigned Tuesday (1:30 p.m.) in Logan County facing three counts including, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

McTeer, 40, flagged down a Guthrie Police officer, at about 3:30 a.m., in hopes of getting a ride home back to Oklahoma City. She told the officer she met a man at a restaurant truck stop in Oklahoma City, and asked her to go with him to Montana or North Dakota. While in the man’s truck, she told police, “they were smoking out of glass pipes,” and “that he must have slipped something into her pipe” because she “was feeling really funny.”

Video viewed by police shows McTeer and the man at the Huddle House restaurant kissing and hugging at around 2:30 a.m.

According to The Oklahoman, McTeer is facing suspension by the Oklahoma Bar Association, which filed a complaint last month with the Oklahoma Supreme Court requesting an immediate interim suspension of her license.

McTeer has been charged with crimes three times since July, including filing a false police report and child endangerment as well as being accused of helping her boyfriend escape from prison.
