Guthrie FFA, 4-H Pork Chop Dinner approaching; win a Gator

The Guthrie FFA & 4-H Booster club will host its annual Pork Chop Dinner & Gator Raffle on Friday, October 16. This year’s event will take place at the Logan County Fairgrounds starting at 5 p.m. and lasting until around 8 p.m.  

FFA and 4-H members are currently selling advance dinner tickets for $10 and chances to win a 2020 John Deere four wheel drive gator at $25 each.   There will only be 800 tickets sold on the John Deere Gator.  

Booster club members will also hold a live and silent auction as well during the event with many great items including some made by the shop classes of the Guthrie FFA.  

In accordance with State Health Department regulations, COVID precautions will take place which include the opportunity to simply drive and up and get to go orders without having to leave your vehicle. Also all those working will be wearing mask and gloves and all dinners will be served in to go containers as well.  

In person seating will be available with social distancing and overflow seating.  Tickets can also be purchased the day of for the price of $12 each. 

This is the major fundraising event for the Guthrie FFA and 4-H Booster club which helps them to support the local FFA and 4-H organizations through various things such as scholarships, meals for kids, along with purchasing technology and other equipment for the program.  

All money raised is put back into these two great youth organizations and helps students grow and exhibit their premiere leadership abilities.
