The Guthrie High School Student Council made a big impact during their annual Rock Week by raising $5,618.71 for CASA for Kids, a nonprofit organization that supports children in foster care.
This year, the student-led initiative selected CASA for Kids as their Rock Week beneficiary, channeling their energy, creativity, and generosity into supporting local youth. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Kids of Logan County recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children in juvenile deprived court.
“We’re so grateful for your support and proud to partner with students who are already making a difference in their community,” said representatives from CASA. The funds raised will directly benefit children in Logan County who are experiencing foster care.
Rock Week is an annual tradition at Guthrie High School, where students host various events and fundraising efforts to give back to a chosen nonprofit. This year’s total highlights the commitment of Guthrie students to community service and making a difference locally.
