Shirley Ingram, of Guthrie, filed a small claims affidavit on July 1, 2011 against the City of Guthrie in the District Court of Logan County.
Ingram is seeking $6,000 in damages for sewer backup that occurred in the basement of her house located at 311 N. Mansur.
“This was originally turned into our insurance company as a tort claim which they denied. We have turned the lawsuit over to the insurance company as well,” Guthrie City Manager Matt Mueller told Guthrie News Page.
The court date has been set for August 4th at 9:00 a.m. with Special District Judge R.L. Hert Jr. assigned to the claim.
