NorthCare announces groundbreaking of new URC in Guthrie

NorthCare, a certified Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (ODMHSAS) service provider, proudly announces the grand opening of a new Urgent Recovery Center (URC) in Guthrie signifying a commitment to providing accessible, high-quality mental health and substance abuse services throughout the state.

Program services are being supported through a four-year federal grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) providing $1 million annually to expand CCBHC services in Logan County.

With a longstanding reputation for offering quality behavioral health services irrespective of one’s ability to pay, NorthCare extends various services for children, adults, and families, aiding in recovery from mental illness, substance use, trauma, or crisis. The new Guthrie URC will provide counseling, therapy, and support programs, tailored to meet the diverse needs of individuals facing mental health and substance abuse challenges.    

“NorthCare’s commitment to delivering accessible and top-notch mental health and substance abuse services aligns seamlessly with our vision,” said Allie Friesen, Commissioner of ODMHSAS. “The new URC in Guthrie is a big step toward enhancing the well-being of individuals across the state.”

NorthCare and ODMHSAS extend a warm invitation to the community, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders for the grand opening of the URC in Guthrie on Friday, February 23 at noon. The event will be held at 205 S. Academy.

The opening of this URC marks a significant stride toward a brighter and more compassionate future for Guthrie and the surrounding community.
