Grocery shoppers in Guthrie will soon notice a new name on a familiar store.
Cash Saver, located at 220 E. Cleveland Ave., will officially rebrand as United Value Cost-Plus with a grand reopening celebration on Wednesday, July 1.
To prepare for the transition, the store will be temporarily closed on June 29 and June 30. When the doors reopen, customers will find more than 10,000 items with lower prices, according to store officials.
The grand reopening festivities will begin at 9 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce.
Customers attending the celebration can enjoy door prizes for the first 50 guests, prizes for the first 100 customers to check out, giveaway raffles throughout the day, and additional promotions.
The rebranding aligns the Guthrie store with other United Value locations across Oklahoma. Homeland Stores, which operates the Guthrie grocery store, says the name change is part of its statewide branding strategy.
Customers may have already noticed improvements to the property, including a recently resurfaced and freshly striped parking lot ahead of the reopening.
Earlier this year, Homeland announced plans to close four stores across Oklahoma, consolidate three others, and place six locations up for sale. Those changes did not affect the Guthrie location, which continues to serve the community under Homeland’s ownership.
