The $203,648 raised is almost $10,000 more than the previous record and smashed the goal of $192,013. Don Hardin, Campaign Chair, noted “The enthusiasm of the Board and staff, the organization of the volunteers and the generosity of the citizens and businesses of Logan County created a ‘perfect storm’ and historic levels of giving.  A great effort and a great result for a great cause. It doesn’t get much better than that!!”

Logan County Board President, Steve Gentling, recognized the stellar efforts of Chuck Hayes, outgoing Community Investment Committee Chair.  “Chuck’s committee leadership was critical in assuring that the allocation process to the 10 Partner Agencies was filled with integrity, accountability and melded the county needs with the resources that were available.  Chuck has done a remarkable job!”

Four special awards were presented by Kristal Flury, Board Vice President stating “There were many deserving candidates for each of these awards.  These winners were the best of the best.”

The Corporate Spirit Award was won by Oklahoma State Bank for their energetic campaign resulting in EVERY bank employee contributing to the United Way.

Dawn Dean and Josh Tucker from Mercy Hospital Logan County received the Outstanding Campaign Coordinator Award for their creative efforts in leading the hospital’s very successful campaign.

The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Lori Jenkins and the Newcomer of the Year Award was given to Scot Graham.

Both Lori and Scot were praised for their commitment to the Logan County community.

Gentling also noted appreciation for the “Leadership” givers  “These 84 individuals each gave at least $500 to support those in need in our communities.”

He also highlighted the “100 percent Club” noting “These six businesses achieved 100 percent contributions by their employees, meaning every employee contributed to the United Way in support of needy citizens in Logan County.  I think this reflects the environment and values set by their leadership as well as the community advocacy of each employee.”

The 100 percent club included: BancFirst; Converse Surveying; Environmental Management; F&M Bank; InterBank and Oklahoma State Bank.

Jessica Eaves, United Way Coordinator summed up the campaign and the celebration “To all who contributed resources so we can help the partner agencies provided services to those in need, thank you, thank you, thank you.  Thank you 203,648 times!”
